hi all,
i am thinking of switching to sainsburys for gas and leccy as its showing as a saving of annual saving of 350 plus £30 cashback and nectar points
however, i have read through some posts and have read alot of negative reviews so i am a bit wary , any advice appreciated.
other option is to stay with current supplier first utility which gives annual saving of £306 and no headache of having to chase new supplier and old one in trying to sort out meter readings and overpayments etc
or the other option is GB energy giving me saving of £405 but its a newish supplier and does not have many reviews

How are you calculating these savings which seem very high to me?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Absolutely no negatives from me.Everything went through fine, collected my £30 cashback 3 months later and they ve just lowered my direct debits without me asking.
Sainsburys Energy is of course 100% run by British Gas with their customer services and meter readers and their tarffs in my area were up close to the cheapest just behind the likes of First Utility, Spark Energy and Extra Energy..Take your pick from that trio or the security of a properly run business like British Gas. My one year, dual fuel fix was much cheaper than anything British Gas themselves could match. I notice in Ukpower.co.uk comp site they say its their most popular switch.0 -
The savings are far to high unless you have been on a standard tariff .
Have you actually checked the tariff rather than some estimate .0 -

I also recently switched from Eon to Sainsbury's and everything went through smoothly without a hitch.0

I am just changing to Sainsburys from Southern as I seem to be paying a ghastly amount at present - am also quoted a saving of £300 ish a year based on my actual annual units used."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Are you moving from a standard variable tariff to a fixed tariff? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

they were shown on the mse comparison site cheap energy club
when i put in my past years usage
the tariff showing this saving is the fixed tariff
Are you moving from a standard variable tariff to a fixed tariff? If you are moving from a fixed to another fixed tariff then it is possible that the savings are inflated? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. ok , i see what you mean, so i have just copied and pasted to make it clear
WHAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY PAYING
£81/month
£972/yearEdit tariff
dual fuel
iSave Fixed v23 August 2015
Early exit fees: £60 (unless you're 50 days from the end)
?
End date: 31 Aug 2015
YOU'RE CURRENTLY OVERPAYING BY...
£13/month
£159/year
Base your savings on this cost instead
WHAT YOU'LL PAY AFTER YOUR FIX ENDS
£101/month
£1,217/year
dual fuel
iSave Everyday v3
Early exit fees: none
WHEN YOUR FIX ENDS, YOU'LL BE OVERPAYING BY...
£34/month
£405/year
All savings are based on this cost
Your 12 month
personal projection
£1,211/yr
This is the way Ofgem suggests your costs should be calculated. It is how much you'll pay over the next 12 months, assuming you don't switch. The calculation is based on 9 days on your current tariff and 357 days on your go-to standard tariff.Nice to save.0
