Generally you get what you pay for. You can buy cheap as chips at places like Tescos but imo if a suit is being worn daily you need something decent otherwise it will look like a disshcloth within a couple of months.

We went out today looking for our son who is starting post 16 education in a couple of weeks and ended up buying a suit from Next... Jacket and trousars were £79 but if you look online you can get a voucher with £10 off. Debenhams and BHS have some offers on too.. If your son is tall and slim go for a "slimfit" one instead of "regular" or "skinnyfit" (always look like Norman Wisdom to me, lol..)

Eldest has a suit from Next (via a charity shop) & loves it. Suit shopping was hellish, so after one gruesome morning, we just took a list of measurements.
Then the charity shop staff pointed out a suit they'd had for a singularly long skinny wearer & not just does it fit son a treat, he's utterly delighted with it & stands/moves better in it.

Best of luck with the hunt. Unless you have a tailor.

That is really great. Many thanks.

The thing with skinny 16-18y olds is they are not kids but also not yet old enough to fill a mans suits.

I'm off to next tomorrow. £79 is fine for me

If you sign up to M&S website they email out some decent discounts from time to time. Had 30% off full price suits when I bought one last month...
