House Seller broken expensive bathroom cabinet before completion

My mother-in-law has just exchanged contracts on a house which completes on Monday. The seller phoned her after exchanging contracts to say that the expensive bathroom cabinet had been "broken" and had been just replaced with a basic one.
The problem is that the cabinet was mentioned in the details as "Mirrored Cabinet with LED de-mister lights with date/temp".
What can she do, given that completion is on Monday?

Is she doing the conveyancing herself or using a solicitor? Either she, or the solicior, should write to the vendor, or their solicitor if any, requesting a like for like replacement be provided, or cash of £X in compensation.0

Not a lot. Is a bathroom cabinet really such a deal breaker? Yes, it would be nice to have the expensive mirrored cabinet but at least the sellers have let her know that its broken and not left her to find out by herself. How broken is it, can it be repaired?

It's too late to be a deal breaker or not, they have already committed to sell her the cabinet in its unbroken condition and it's now broken. They must make good by either restoring, replacing or recompensing.0 -
Sounds like they have removed it to take with them. Reply that you would like the broken one as you are sure that it can be repaired.

When you say it was mentioned in the 'details' do you mean the Estate Agent's details or the list of Fixtures and Fittings as part of the contract?0

I reckon they just took it with them and bought a cheap one to replace it.
You can't easily break one of those cabinets. The LED's can stop working, a door might come off it's hinge, it might fall off the wall, but it breaking beyond any sort of functional use doesn't sound likely.0 -

A decent bathroom cabinet can be surprisingly expensive!
I would be suspicious it wasnt broken and they took it with them!
I would want it replacing like for like, or cash equivalent to get it replaced.

Whether it really broke, or they decided to take it with them, is neither here nor there.
It should be replaced like for like, or cash compensation (including fiting if necessary).0
