are there any good accounts for postgrads??

looking for a bank account for daughter who is doing an MA but most of the student accounts with free rail cards etc are only for undergraduates. anybody seen any for postgrads please?? She's not that interested in overdrafts as never goes overdrawn so other benefits are what she's after!!

I think some banks allow (and/or extend) student accounts for post-grads. But she might need to ask the banks direct.

Only specific post-grad account I could see whilst googling was Santander's.

She shouldn't restrict herself to "Postgrad" accounts (i.e. labeled as such) for benefits. She might get better from a different account.

For example, a railcard costs £26 a year. A Halifax reward account can bring in £60 a year. Buy railcard herself, get £34 profit.

Postgraduate here.

I took out the Santander Postgrad account so that I could maintain an interest free overdraft just in case I needed it. Some banks' terms and conditions make their regular student accounts available to postgraduates (up to PhD level), but most restrict their freebies to people in the first year of an undergraduate.

Aside from the Santander Postgraduate account, I operate my bank accounts like most others here. I keep my savings in a TSB Plus account, and take advantage of the £5 per month offered by a Halifax Reward account. As someone else pointed out, the free money is generally better than any other freebies offered :-D
