American Fridge Freezer, bridging unit issue - help and advice needed!

Hello.

I am looking for some advice in regards to an american fridge freezer.

Currently having our kitchen fitted. We have a bridging unit with a 1000mm space for an american fridge freezer in the middle. However, the tower units come out to 600mm. All the american fridge freezers (well, the affordable ones that dont cost £1,500) are approx 700mm deep.

We are unable to pull the units out any further and leave a space behind because the unit would be obstructing a door! So this means approx 100mm sticking out!

I considered buying two separate tall fridge freezers - but they are too wide for the space.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? and how did you overcome it? If I buy the american fridge freezer, will it look silly standing proud of the units?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks :)
