Surveyors report

We would like some advice We have had a offer accepted on a 1950s bungalow which needs updating we are putting our life savings in this and are cash buyers.
We had a structural survey done and surveyor thought cracks to be subsidence.
We told the estate agent who advised the vendor who said she’d had a technical support for suspected subsidence done in 2008 which was fine. I might add she hasn’t tried to cover up the cracks.
We have seen the report and it states there is no subsidence quote form the report;
Recommendations
The damage is not due to an insured peril. The insurance policy provides cover for the repair of damage resulting from foundation movement. In this case I saw no evidence of either subsidence or heave that appeared recent.
The report was done by Crawfords national subsidence unit.
We also went to the property with a surveyor who the estate agent recommended who went through the report and discussed the cracks.
We have decided to have get a structural engineer report done before we go ahead but our original surveyor still thinks it has subsidence, not sure what to do know.
Both surveyors are fully qualified and accredited.
Advice welcome.

If you are likely to pull out if the survey is correct, have the engineers report and see what they give as the second opinion. If you will go ahead regardless then take a view on it yourself. But you may find you have trouble with insurance if you're aware but don't declare to the insurance co.0
