Parking Eye Newquay Tower Road

Hi, I paid on entry, entering my reg no, was delayed because i lost my phone/got separated from family. Having a fallback to congregate at the car late afternoon, we waited, then when everyone returned, paid for more hours, (having seen numerous signs advising it was ok to do this in Newquay), and have now recieved PCN saying I entered a no free parking area. Surely their regno parking machines must register with their NPRS cameras to see that parking was paid for? I have appealed online, with photos of the purchased tickets.

I have no intention of paying a fine having already paid in full for the service of parking my car.

Any further thoughts/experiences on the date 08/08/2015? Any one else get a PCN having bought tickets?

Cheers
PtD

Finding others with PCNs on the same date won't affect your position.

Please, please don't rush to submit an online appeal saying who was driving nor talking about that day/how you lost your phone/how you paid for parking.
You'll have read the NEWBIES sticky thread now we hope - found the template appeal to submit (don't post an actual letter when a PPC has a perfectly good online page for appeal).

Read my posts headed 'Tower Road, Newquay. I guess you've fallen foul of the same trap as I did. ANPR photographs your car on the way in and on the way out; and this is counted as your time parked. So, I've been hit with a PCN for £100 for a presumed overstay of 15 minutes in a paid-for time of 4 hours. Another person on this site (Tommy1080 has recently won his POPLA Appeal for a similar 'misdemeanour'

POPLA appeals should be won every time on this forum, it's the norm. Just have to make sure ALL the usual points are made, not just 'no GPEOL'.

Is there anybody making a strategic response to all this though? I can't understand how Parking Eye continue to issue PCNs for misdemeanours, the specific Appeal of which has previously been upheld at POPLA. I wonder whether it can be like te PPI scandal; these PPCs having eventually to repay all the monies they've illegally extorted from motorists who haven't the time/energy etc to spend formulating Appeals?

It needs complaints, by those directly affected, to the DVLA, the BPA, Trading Standards, MPs and local media to get anything moving at strategic level. But there is need for resilience in dealing with inevitable fob-offs and tenacity in hitting back.

PPCs thrive on picking off individuals, one by one, who, in the main, are supine, respectful of 'authority' and/or don't know how to fight such demands for money.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
