How do you cope with the uncertainty of the house buying process?

It's not just housebuying - any time you leave the house you could be run over by a bus, struck by lightning, drowned in a flood, abducted by aliens (and they'll always, always use the rectal probe....) - really modern life is so risky you're best off wrapping yourself in cotton wool and a tinfoil hat and living in a cave on a remote Scottish island.
Alternatively, you could chill out, promptly deal with any actions which are under your control and don't worry about those which aren't. And steer clear of aliens.0 -

I am finding the house search quite disheartening, I have been searching for a couple of months and it feels like years.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

When my sister was buying her place, a relative of ours not only fielded stressed phone calls, but roped in her local prayer group and even lit candles.
Noone's saying how much the latter two helped but both women emerged with most of their sanity still intact.
Myself, I'm a devout believer in tins of sweets & biscuits delivered regularly to my solicitor. (Also doctor, dentist, primary school & other local services we wanted to open & maintain cordial relations with.)
Take your multivite, sleep as much as you can & pace yourself for the long haul. Best of luck!0 -
I don't think I am being unreasonable but I have decided that I have a very picky family and am now waiting for them to get realI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

The fact that the letter "I" appears 4 times in 2 lines speaks volumes about who's picky and unreasonable, but good luck with your wait anyway...0 -
