Is it possible to sell on EBay using your own website

When selling an item on EBay, does anyone know if it's possible to create your own webpage and sell from this rather than going through EBay's 'Enter Your HTML' page?

Afraid not. It would be against eBay rules since you would be trading outside of eBay. You can, however, add a link to your own site from your 'about me' page.

Reason I asked was, I was trying to change the background colour of one of my auctions, plus put a few of my own pictures where I wanted on the page.

I did find out that it's possible to host just your pictures on an external website. Plus it is possible to change the background colour of the auction with a little clever HTML!

Near enough for what I wanted!

Writing your auctions in html is the best way to get format you want, and you can host your own pictures, just make sure you have enough bandwith as some auctions can get thousands of hits.

Also if you have own business I would place a dynamic html code to bring in an autoresponder for customers to request further info on your site. If done correctly this brings you loads of new prospects.
