I am a bit of a pen hoarder LOL I fell in love with a schoolfriend's Gold Shaeffer when I had a plastic fountain pen aged 11, I managed to buy one on Ebay a few years ago. If you can buy a classic pen your niece will have a heirloom and a permanent reminder of her generous uncle...0

Neither of my two teenage daughters would wear a Pandora bracelet.
I'm another who would vote for money in a congratulations card (which my daughter got from her grandparents.)
Alternatively I'd say a couple of gift cards to treat herself: eg Odeon & Costa, though there are many to choose from. And one of my girls LOVES pens & stationery.0 -

I'm thinking a big tattoo, then! Especially considering she's 'arty'! :beer:0 -
A Swarovski Pen? http://www.swarovski.com/Web_GB/en/5139621/product/Crystalline_Stardust_Pen_____.html
They also do USB sticks (separately or in a set) http://www.swarovski.com/Web_GB/en/5136887/product/Crystalline_Stardust_Set,_Stick___Pen.html

I would love to receive a voucher for a really fab shoe shop, like Schuh, if I were a teenager again. In fact, I still like their shoes :rotfl:
If there's a branch of Schuh near her, I think she might like that, even though I don't know her, of course! The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -

oh pinpin, NO!!!! Please don't encourage youngsters to get all inked.
You can't (legally) get a tatt until you're 18 anyway. The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -

Nice ideas, especially the USB stick.
BUT they are quite girly and not all girls like sparkly things, especially 'Arty' types who sometimes reject mainstream teenage culture.0 -
I would also buy something from the Tiffany shop as mentioned by someone else, think they are timeless especially the plainer pieces
I got a plain gold bangle off my parents in 1991, I still wear it as it is so plain it has never dated. My parents also wanted me to have something that I could keep so money wasnt an option for me.
I would also have liked a nice pair of diamond stud earrings but didnt get these until my 21st and again are still worn
Although at the time I wasnt a big 'good' jewellery wearer as preferred more showy jewellery over the years I have my presents loads, think they were more presents for the future than for at the time though0 -

I knowbut loads of youngsters do get themselves tattooed. There is a fashion for having loads of them done, it's so silly.
