EDF have improved their online MyAccount sign up process.
I've never bothered with it in the past because they always required far too much irrelevant personal information - date of birth, phone number, etc. Now all they need is your email address and account number, so I signed up. The website is very good, and hopefully I'll never need to speak to them again when changing tariff.

I switched to EDF last October and, so far, I have been impressed both by their prices and by their customer service (including the generally user-friendly website). But, even after logging on, it’s still not easy to find out the prices of my current tariff (obviously I already know them but lots of people don’t).
If I click on ‘Tariff Details’, I get bogged down as usual in the mire of postcode submissions, tariff options and variables, and average annual consumption figures. But if I click on ‘Change Tariff’ and then scroll down a bit then - Hey Presto - there’s a button which immediately shows me my current standing charge and unit rates. Why do the energy suppliers insist on burying their prices so deep?mad mocs - the pavement worrier0
