To update, I received my Credit Agreement yesterday and posted it at 5.30 p.m.
The letter was dated 17th Aug 2007. Came 21st Aug 2008 (4 days).
The card *should* arrive within 7–10 days."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

Hi Karl,
Has your card arrived???? Sorry just curious. Thanks for the advice to apply for an aqua card, I am holding off applying for anything else at the moment (just opened a basic halifax account) dont want to mess up my credit file with any more searches at the moment.:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -
For info, I posted off my signed application on a Saturday morning and have received my card today (11 days later). Whole thing, from online application to receiving docs to sign to receiving card took 14 (maybe 15?) days.
Was the 4% cashback card.0 -

I have just been turned down too.
Equifax rate me as "excellent" so i dont know why i have been declined.
I have held capital 1 cards in the past to shift balances at 0% and then closed them when the 0% finishes. I have also for the last few years paid my cards in full every month. I will not make capital 1 much money so may be thats the reason.
I will wait a month or two and get something else.0 -
capital one were useless with me! I got my terms and conditions really fast and they said the card would be sent out within 14 days-14 days later I got my pin number-2 WEEKS AFTER this I still had not received the card-so I rang them- they cancelled it and said the would send a new one out, a week later I got my card and pin on 2 consequetive days-
I went to do some shopping and was very embarrased when my card was declined-when I rang cust services again-they explained that the card that had come was the one they had cancelled! another week after that I got the new one!:rolleyes:official dfw nerd club member no 214
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!0 -
Okay, I have just received my card today!
Came with lots of information.
I had to ring and activate; I was very impressed with the customer service.
I am, however, waiting for my PIN.
Thanks for all your replies."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."
