Amusingly one of the objectors was the occupier of the house which was added to make a terrace out of the semi houses.
Edit, I've just looked at the plans for the extension. I can't see them going down a storm with the locals either.Make £2025 in 2025

On the bright side at least the average estate agent won't hesitate to market your property as semi-detached rather than terraced these days

Is it just an extension to their own home or a completely new property?
In the original post:
He has now submitted a new application to build an attached 3 bedroom property to his side of our semi-detached essentially making me an end terrace.
I'm guessing a completely new property!

On the council website you will probably find guidelines for developers as well as householder guidelines.
Even if you look at the guidelines for residential side extensions you will find enough valid points to object on.
Read through, find relevant points and object away and don't forget parking space and garden space could be relevant to both houses.0 -
Technically, your house will still be semi detached from the house next door.Been away for a while.0

It won't work like this.
My ex gfs dad did exactly this. He built a new attached home next to his, which was semi detached. He then went on to sell the new end built house as end of terrace. The other neighbours were fuming.
Semi detached is just that, consisting of 2 properties adjoined. As soon as there is a third it will be classed as terraced or end of terrace.0
