Parking eye

I forgot to top up my time before leaving a parking eye carpark in Newquay. On realising my mistake , I got out of the car and walked back to top up my charge. I have revived a fine. With the times on. There are 2 minutes between me leaving and returning to top up. I have kept both receipts for parking. Just wondered how I stand?

BPA Grace periods http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/bpa_code_of_practice_2012_version_1_october_2012.pdf
page 10 (I think)
Your approach to parking management must allow a
driver who enters your car park but decides not to park,
to leave the car park within a reasonable period without
having their vehicle issued with a parking charge notice.
13.2 You should allow the driver a reasonable ‘grace period’
in which to decide if they are going to stay or go. If the
driver is on your land without permission you should still
allow them a grace period to read your signs and leave
before you take enforcement action.0 -

no you havent, you have received a speculative invoice
keep hold of those receipts and make copies
then read and follow the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of the forum, using the template appeal on their website
add copies of the parking receipts too
do not admit to who was the driver, nor infer it either, appeal as KEEPER0 -
