Travel Insurance claim for non-lead traveller

Hi
I'm flying to Europe soon with a family member (Flights only, no accomodation).
On the flight booking I am not named as the lead traveller, though I have paid for the flights in full using a card in my name.
If there were to be any claim on a cancelled booking is there any difference who claims?
Thanks for any information.

All passengers would need to be covered by insurance (ie were you to cancel, then you would only be able to claim your own cancellation costs on your own insurance policy if you alone had any insurance cover)
The "lead traveller" on the flight booking is irrelevant. Each passenger would make their own claim off their own insurer (unless of course you are covered by a family/group policy)0
