How to remove dead ivy from house wall?

Moved to new house few months back.
I noticed good amount of ivy in one external wall. I have cut the root at ground level and now the ivy died. However, when I tried to pull dead branches from wall, I could not remove them
They look very nasty. Any idea how to get rid of those dead branches?

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

You'll just have to get up there with a scraper & scrape them off. It won't all come off though because it digs into the surface, you'll still see where it was.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Use one of those curved blades that you can get for cleaning between paving slabs. As exile has said, there will always be traces of the ivy remaining on the surface.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I had similar problem on a long, no, verrrrrry long wall!!
Use a large bricklayers trowel, THIS SET OF THREE , it's sharp enough and light enough and depending on how awkward the job is, if there are smaller places to get into, you could use the smaller one.

That's a nightmare of job. You must get full protection against the dust, so think mask, eye-protection, hat, gloves.
If the ivy is really bad, use of border spade gets the worst of it off. That leaves loads of root traces, the only way I got rid of these was careful use of a jetwasher0 -

Sound advice here......not only the dust but the spores from the ivy can cause nasty problems............0 -
Leave it a few months first to dry out and become more brittle. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
