Unexpected working tax credits payment

Hi can anyone help so I don't need to phone and be on hold for an hour.
I have received an unexpected £9 payment from working tax credit today, I usually get £53 per month but it is not due for payment until next Friday, I am confused

Probably an underpayment being corrected and if you are worried about it then keep the money to one side until you see the renewal notice come through.0

thanks for your quick replies.
No changes to circumstances, auto renewal this year, my employer provided them with earnings details for last year.
Hoping its a final payment from last year or they have underpaid by £9 so far this year.

I got an extra payment last week too, got the letter yesterday; it's a shortfall/make up payment of last years' entitlement.Only two people away from a threesome :grouphug:£2017 in 2017 = 0
