I certainly stop talking when it gets complicated, that might even be a simple lane change on a motorway. Passengers are aware that there is stuff going on and don't care.I call bull on the "i dont talk to passengers" thing.
I would only have the briefest of conversations on hands-free with people I know, strangers get to leave a message.
Mind you, I like my passengers!0
