Double drive access issues

We have a garage and drive to the right of our house (if you were looking at the house face on) and our neighbours is on the left. So basically our garages and drives are side by side. The drives cut across a public path so effectively the front part of the drives cant be used except for access (otherwise you would be parking across a public path which is illegal)
They haven't moved in yet but have been doing up the house and moving in the next few weeks.
My concern is they have a lot of vehicles and they wont all fit on their drive. At the moment, they keep parking across their half of the drive and using our half as access to get onto theirs. It is always their van or motorhome that they park in the road and across their part of the drive. As its a small street we live in (the road is very narrow), I am really struggling to get my estate car off the drive as there is effectively no room for it to swing round. Ive been up on the grass verge at the front of my house and the neighbours grass verge across the road on more than one occasion!
I've not said anything because they are having a lot of work done and it s a bit chaotic with builders vans etc and we were going through the same thing ourselves last year. But my concern is that they will think this is the norm and continue to do it once they have moved in with all their vehicles (5 on the last count they told me).
So my quest is, are they actually doing anything wrong? they are parking across their own drive - but is that part their own drive or is the part in front of the public path a joint access way?
I think certainly their motor home being parked in the street, there is no way an emergency vehicle would get past it but I would hope they would put the motorhome on their drive once they have moved in.

What do the deeds for your property say with respect to the shared access driveway?

Why not talk to them before the niggle becomes a problem. Head it off at the pass. :)
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
