DIY Dishwasher repair - advice

Hi,

I have a
Currys Essentials CDWTT11 Tabletop dishwasher. Which has recently stopped working, or rather works very intermittently. The error symbol (flashing 3 in 1 light) indicates that the problem is with the flow meter. The dishwasher was fairly cheap and a gift, so I don't really think it is worth calling someone out to fix it.
I can get the part that is broken for around £34. Can anyone advise how easy it would be to repair or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

How do you know what part is broken? I don't know the model or what the book says about the error symbol but if it's flagging up the flow meter I would suspect there's some restriction to the flow. Clean the filters & everything else you can get at, check the spray arms for blockages.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • If you are quite handy, then just take it apart and put back together in the reverse way. From my DIY experience, there is very little to dishwashers and have fitted a pump and heater before. Havealso done numerous DIY repairs on washing machines. Also.... Youtube is your friend... have a search. guaranteed someone had done a video on it or a similar sort of machine.... Try spares websites too like e-spares.. can be really helpful.

Thanks Essex/warmhands, I have cleaned everything I can get to and changed the water pressure going in. It could be a lose connection to said part also. I think I'll have a go :)
