Does anyone know if there is a chemical that can safely break down pine sap so it can be removed from a cars paintwork without damaging the car?
Thanks in advance.

found it !!!
the clay is brilliant!I have used it, and it takes away all the tree sap, and other contaminants on the car - the only prob is that after rubbing it with the clay, the paint is 'raw' and you then 'should' add some wax.Agree that a good mitt is the way forward, and also rec that you get a microfibre cloth as well .... don't know if they are in the 3 for 2 offer.NXT is brilliant stuff ....0 -
Auto glym tar remover is pretty good at removing stubborn substences. As with the other stuff, remember to apply some wax afterwards.0
