How do you remove pine sap from a car?

Options
Does anyone know if there is a chemical that can safely break down pine sap so it can be removed from a cars paintwork without damaging the car?

Thanks in advance.

the clay is brilliant!I have used it, and it takes away all the tree sap, and other contaminants on the car - the only prob is that after rubbing it with the clay, the paint is 'raw' and you then 'should' add some wax.Agree that a good mitt is the way forward, and also rec that you get a microfibre cloth as well .... don't know if they are in the 3 for 2 offer.NXT is brilliant stuff ....
  • Auto glym tar remover is pretty good at removing stubborn substences. As with the other stuff, remember to apply some wax afterwards.
