HI there
Sorry to post a new topic, I have read the main Sticky about what to do but don't believe I have a valid appeal reason.
By pure mistake I parked in a disable bay instead of a family parking space, I did pay for a ticket etc and was a little busy with my 18month old. No excuse but hey.
I got a ticket on the screen from Smart Parking for £40. By what I read, if in England I should pay this because I cant blame signage (slightly misleading but), I cant think of a valid reason to appeal.
Any advice?

No you should not pay this.
Disabled bays are provided by law for people with disabilities so you should not have parked there, and hopefully won't do again. However, the PPC have made no loss because you paid for a ticket.
I bet the signs were misleading with too much small print that could not possibly be read from a moving vehicle.
You should appeal using the template in the Sticky thread for NEWBIES exactly as it is making sure you do not reveal who was driving. Use all the appeal points.
Never 'phone a parking company. Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Thank you I will do it now
So I just fill in their online appeal thing at SmartParking.com and not mention I was the driver and mention there was no loss of earnings.0 -

If they allow online appeals, yes do that but take a screenshot before you hit send as proof that you did it. Remember to do this at around day 21 from the parking event like it tells you in the NEWBIES thread. This is so that the parking company may forget to issue a notice to keeper which is then a dead cert win at PoPLA.
The template is written to include everything you need without revealing who was driving. Just send it exactly as it is.
Don't worry if it gets rejected by notverysmart parking. Most first appeals are. They must however supply a PoPLA code. You then make a second appeal to PoPLA using forum help from here, and win.I married my cousin. See I thought I was in the wrong until you said they have incurred no costs, I did buy a valid ticket. So I have cost them nothing.
Randomly my PCN is not valid on their site at the moment, I have received nothing through the post, should I wait till I get a letter? or just email them a head of it0 -

I have edited my previous post so have a look at that again. I'm at work at the moment and have to go, but your options are, appeal at about day 21 AS KEEPER, or wait for the NTK (Notice to Keeper/Owner) and appeal AS KEEPER.
In either case, use the template exactly as it is.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0
