I am being billed for a gas meter which isn't in my flat. I have informed Npower of this during the 5 hours of phone calls that I have made. I have followed there complaints line and email guides.
Today I received an email to tell me that they were transferring my non gas account to Scottish Power.
Does Npower still have a representative on this forum? I am unable to get any of there call centre staff to understand the situation. I have been passed from person to person.
Any help would be appreciated from anyone who has had a similar issue.
Today I received an email to tell me that they were transferring my non gas account to Scottish Power.

Do not accept any more calls from either Npower or Scottish Power and do not make any regarding this matter as you probably have no method of recording them.
Instead, WRITE to both of them either by email or post and tell them that you do not have a gas account and therefore any transfer in your name is fraudulent.
You could also try posting on their Facebook or Twitter feed/account, this might get their attention faster than writing.
5 hours on the phone is far too long and should prove that phoning is a waste of time.0 -
Are you saying you don t even have a gas supply to the flat, no access to gas at all ? or are you saying the wrong meter is being billed to you. Flats can have all the meters in a communal cupboard. Even if you don t use a gas cooker/fire or central heating boiler, a standing charge would be due of approx £80 a year.0

Who / what says that this is so?
If there is no consumption there is no deemed contract
If there's no contract then where is the legal liability for standing charges?
If your post implies that you've already emailed Npower as well as called them and you have become fed up with failure to sort it out consider taking it to the energy ombudsman (you can do so 8 weeks after your first complaint)

just take the door numbers off your flat, they wont be able to force entry ever lolDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
