Motorbike bought off Ebay where do I stand?

I bought a Motorbike off Ebay in June.
I have only used it a couple of times as I cannot get comfortable with it so it's been sat unused for some time now.
I have been trying to sell it but have run into problems doing so.
It's not as described, the gauges don't work which weren't mentioned in the auction.
Also not mentioned in the auction is that the bike is a different colour to what it is stated in the Logbook and this is making it unsellable but this has only recently come to light as I didn't notice it was listed as a different colour in the Logbook.
I listed it on Ebay to sell it and it was pulled, a few people messaged implying it was stolen as I mentioned that colour was different to that in the Logbook, I had to be honest about this in the auction but I presume someone reported the listing and it was pulled which I thought was harsh.
I've got 2 keys for it and the Logbook and old MOT's and bills so I'd be very surprised if it was stolen but as it isn't as described and it's been sat for a couple of months and I can't sell it and after the colour issue has come to light can anyone suggest something to help me in this situation?
I did a HPI check on it and nothing showed on there.
Thanks.

People do respray bikes, what colour is it to you, and what colour does the v5 say?
It's also possible for people to see colours differently, my v5 says my car is green while it is silver to me and only has a very light green tint in the silver in certain light.====0 -
It's listed as Blue but it's Black, I'm not even sure if the fairings are original, not that it matters necessarily but it's obviously causing issues. It's either been resprayed or had different bodywork put on it which is fine except for whoever did it didn't notify the DVLA0

Send off the V5 to change the colour.
edit .... are you sure it is black, there are a few colours that are not obvious - "ink blue" is a colour which I remember from my paint mixing days and there was an awful lot of black in it. Can you get it or a bit of it to a paint specialist and they should be able to check it against a colour chart - many Halfords will have the motorbike colour charts.0 -
I thought about doing that but it says to provide a date which I presumed is the date the colour was changed so I thought at the time it was best not to until I got some advice about it.0

Yes the bike definitely is Black without a doubt.0

the date of the colour change is today , get the v5 sent away!
the gauges not working could simply be a blown/dirty fuse , have you checked or are you able to?
I presume you mean the fuel/temp , if not say which?0 -
You have no comeback with eBay or Paypal. Your only way forward is via legal channels and that isn't a forgone conclusion.0

I take it you paid cash? If so your only route would be the small claims court if you cannot negotiate with the seller.0
