No, they do not need to get you to agree to any terms at all-are you suggesting that each time a retailer makes a sale, they should have to read the customer the entire T&C's and make them agree each clause?
Most sales in shops don't have any specific terms and conditions other than the law - contract law, sale of goods act etc. These don't need pointing out.0 -
They were also in the wrong as they provided the refund due to the fact they have a 24 hour cancellation policy - something they failed to mention to us when we attempted to cancel less than 24 hours after placing the order.0

That cancellation clause changes the whole scenario then, and was your get-out clause..No free lunch, and no free laptop
