If you don't want to go for the big slab then piers with bearers is another option.
Piers can be concrete, slabs, blocks whatever you can get cheap/free.
There are adjustable bearer supports available so you don't even have to level the piers
Look at decking supplies a shed is a bit of deck with walls and a roof.0 -
I put down a concrete base and 1 course of bricks (standing upright not on the normal way) for the wooden base of my shed to stand on, wish I had put a course of concrete blocks down so shed wooden base would have been 9ins from ground, as I get a lot of splash back when it rains, roof has a 6in overhang but that is not enough0

I am going for 3" x 3" concrete posts laid every 2' (sorry about the old money) to support 12' x 8' workshop.
