CCTV Help

Hi
I need to set up a camera which is able to record for the outside of my house, but I'm not quite sure what to buy, I've had a look on ebay and I have seen this unit and I want to know if any one has one or know if this would do the job.

Provide itself 128M SD card which could store about 2000 photos or 400 video clips

The quality would be so poor as to be useless. This tells me that basically it's a very low resolution camera.

Unless you actually need to capture images and just want a deterrent, a fake camera and some bright yellow CCTV IN OPERATION signs would be better.

Your going to need to spend money on the cameras also to get anything that is worth recording. A customer of mine just paid for a 4 camera dvr system to be installed and the first time he needed to use it the images were poor and no good to actually see the faces of the people that were committing the crime.

If you want the system to help you in the hopefully unlikely event you need it you need to spend and buy a decent one don't go scrimping on something that uses SD cards for storage.
