Help!!! Flights to Nyc

Hey everyone, I am a newbie here so nice to meet you.
I am looking for some cheap flights and hotels in Nyc for the first two weeks in June. I have gone on numerous websites and the cheapest I have is £350, but I always remember seeing adverts that said you could get to nyc for 100 pounds.
Anyway if anyone can help, I would be grateful, btw i'm a student so i don't know if that will help.

All advice is welcome

Thanks

Sab x

    Hi..and welcome to the board!

You may struggle to get flights for less than £300 at that time of year as its quite a popular time to fly out and you are booking quite late now. The £100 figure you quote is probably for flights in January i.e. when NYC is very snowy and cold and not that many people want to visit it! It probably excluded taxes too which can add up to £60 on the price.

My advice would be to look at websites like http://www.expedia.co.uk , http://www.ebookers.com and http://www.lastminute.com.

A couple of years ago I flew to New York last week in May and the cheapest flights I fould then (by far) was Air India!! (booked through ebookers.com) The fare cost £240 and you get a good curry as an inflight meal!!

    Good luck!

By the way taxes and associated charges to NY are closer to the £100 mark.
