Summer Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. This prize draw promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited (“the Promoter”). This Promotion is only open to members and employee members of Co-operative Group Limited.
2. Any employees of Co-operative Group Limited, its group undertakings and its agencies which are directly connected with the creation and administration of this Promotion are excluded.
3. Purchase is required to enter this Promotion. If you are resident in Northern Ireland no purchase is required to enter the prize draw. You should ask the store manager for details of how you can enter without making a purchase.
4. There are 42 prizes in total for the prize draw and there will be 42 winners; you cannot win twice in the prize draw. The 3 prizes each day for the prize draw consists of:-
   
   i. Delonghi ESAM400B Bean to Cup Coffee Machine
   ii. iPad Mini 3 in Space Grey
   iii. Samsung UE40JU6500 - 40” Curved LED TV, UHD
5. Members who have swiped their card between 19 August and 1 September 2015 will be entered in to the prize draw. You can enter the prize draw when your membership card is swiped at the point of purchase (either by a cashier or at self-check-out) at one of The Co-operative Group Food Stores. Purchases made at independent food stores which are not owned by the Promoter are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. Members should check with staff in-store whether that store is a participating store of this Promotion. Only one swipe will be entered for each qualifying transaction. You will only be entered into the prize draw for the day you made the purchase. Multiple entries are permitted.
6. The prize draw winners will be picked at random using a computer process producing verifiably random results. Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. There is no cash alternative. Prizes are allocated at random and no alternative to the allocated prize is available, except at the discretion of the Promoter.
7. Prizes may be substituted or changed for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if for any reason the stated prize is unavailable. The Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternate prize in the event that awarding a prize would contravene public policy or legislation; is not available; or not in stock.
8. The Promoter will not be liable for entries which are not received or which are incomplete, corrupt or delayed for any reason. This Promotion opens on Wednesday 19 August 2015 at 7am and the last date for receipt of entries is Tuesday 1 September 2015 at 10pm. Any purchases made before or after these times will not be entered into the prize draw. The promoter may withdraw this promotion at any time without notice.
9. Prize Draw winners will be notified by email / telephone /post by the details held on their member records by Friday 11 September, and the winner should contact the Promoter to arrange for the prize to be delivered to them. The names of the prize draw winners will be available on the membership website www.co-operative.coop/membership. The Promoter is not liable if any member details provided are incorrect.
10. In the event that contact cannot be made with the prize draw winner or the winner does not confirm delivery arrangements of the prize with the Promoter within 21 days from the first date of an attempt to notify such winner, then no more attempts will be made to contact the winner and the prize will be forfeited. A new winner will then be selected from the remaining entries.
11. The prize draw winners should allow 21 days from notification of winning for delivery of the prize draw prizes (delivery and postage included). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incomplete or incorrect postal address provided. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost or delayed in the post or for any additional costs incurred for re-postage.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for the prize draw for one of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify from the Promotion any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating including, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter.
14. If there is any dispute about the validity of any entry or any other aspect of the prize draw, this will be decided by the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final in every situation (including any not covered by these terms and conditions) and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The Promoter may collect personal information from entrants of this Promotion under the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable data privacy laws. The Promoter will only use entrants' information for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion.
16. By entering this Promotion you agree that the Promoter may use your name, photo and any testimonial you have provided to the Promoter, for promotional purposes, including, without limitation, on its websites, social media, within its magazines or within promotional emails.
17. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this Promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party.
18. If you do not wish to participate in the prize draw you should call the membership helpline on 0800 023 4708*.
19. Entry to this Promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately on your entry to the prize draw and instant win. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then you should contact the Membership Contact Centre on 0800 023 4708* to be excluded from the prize draw and subsequent instant wins. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available on the Promoter’s website. It is the entrant’s responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes,
20. This Promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
