Sky Credit check

I am waiting for completion on a house with a mortgage offer confirmed.

Question now is do Sky do credit checks specifically hard foot prints, thereby impacting on my credit file for mortgage purposes.

I want to order SKY before I move in next week.

Nothing will change if your mortgage has been approved, they don't keep credit checking you.

Unfortunately some lenders do another credit check prior to releasing the money.

Who does? What provider would think it unreasonable someone getting a quote fo Sky a week before they move in.

If you are that worried wait till you have the keys. Simples.

Sky has never checked or reported anything to my credit file. I doubt they even do a credit check, they probably say they do just to cover their backsides if you default.

You pay for Sky TV up front so there's no 'credit' involved.

They don't do pre-paid, its a service agreement.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Halifax 100% do, prior to release of funds
