Freezing cold Sainsburys store

This particular Sainsburys is very cold. Its so cold that the staff wear long sleeved uniform, with several layers underneath.
One of the colleagues I regularly chat to when we bump into each other in the town says her asthma has got worse by 20% in two years, based on the peak flow measurement and it has been so cold past couple of weeks where she was unable to wiggle her toes.
This has been the coldest the store has been in the summer. What on earth is it going to be like in the winter? When the automatic doors are open 90% of the time due to customers going in/out of the store and the (inconsiderate) people decide to talk to others just outside the store in the door opening area?
The store is getting fewer customers and I overheard one customer in another shop daren't go to that Sainsburys anymore as its too cold.
Sainsburys careline doesn't seem to care. The managers say there is nothing wrong with the temp of the store.
I am feeling sorry for the colleagues as they joke they go outside to thaw out!

So are you going to tell us the store location???"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Some of us love air conditioning!0

My Oh works at sainsburys and its often cold where she works too. They have supposedly have eco boilers that use wood pellets sometimes they run out and don't get stock for a few days. They also have panels on roof and rainwater collector for toilets.0

Entire post is bizarre and doesn't seem to be praise, a vent or a warning. Odd but surely the bit in bold is wrong? If it's so cold then surely they would go outside to warm up?0 -

Thawing out and warming up are much the same thing.
Although surely the whole point of air conditioning is that it's cold inside when it's hot outdoors?0 -
Bizarre, just bizarre.0

My local Sainsbury's is also air conditioned to the point of feeling like an evil wizard has cursed it and condemned it to an eternal winter. I don't shop there often anyway but on the rare occasions I do I find it pretty uncomfortable and don't linger to browse. So Maybe I should be glad that it's saving me money? :rotfl:0

I agree. Sainsburys is usually very chilly in the whole store and blooming freezing in the chiller aisles!Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
Ours if freezing too. The check-out lady a couple of hours ago was wearing gloves. It's about 72F outside.0

I always wrap up well to go into our local Sainsburys, even if it's a heatwave outside, although my other half never feels cold in there. Mind you, he doesn't feel the cold like I do!0
