Hi,
I have recently been made redundant just 2 weeks short of start of my maternity leave. I have now been given the company compensation schedule and I have a question about how they have calculated my weekly base pay...
My Base Salary is £25,550 so my weekly base pay is £491.35 (25,550/52=491.35)
But to calculate my company enhanced maternity pay (16 weeks 100% base salary) our company has calculated as below:
Annualsalary £25,550
Less Annual Pension - £1149.72
Flex Allowance £894.24
Total £25294.52 /52
Weekly basic £486.43
I don't understand why they have taken below deductions as I thought my base pay is my base pay and pension is something calculated on top?
I would be very grateful for any advice!!!

Also can anyone advice if the maternity payment, additional notice pay and bonus be classified as 'Ex-gratia payment' as they are not part of my statutory redundancy payment (they are part of enhanced company redundancy payment)?0
