    The best bit is that its a given that the OP`s `offer` email , probably gave all the staff at the EA a good old belly laugh to start their day

    I've been told previous offer amounts before, when offering. Why on earth would that be illegal?!

    It would be a breach of data protection laws if they gave you the previous offerer's name, address and phone number...

    When I had my house on the market, I didn't let anyone view unless they were under offer . I didn't want timewasters having a nice Saturday day out nosing round people houses.

    I would be been cross if you viewed my house.

    OP is on holiday at the moment I believe? They will come back to a lot of responses and advice about their circumstances if they haven't been checking online whilst on holiday
