Universal credit suspended

Hi there,
I am on Universal credit and have started up a mini business ( so in a start up period ).I had a letter yesterday day stating that my Universal Credit had been suspended, as I have not reported earnings to them for this months assesement period. I have done what I was told to do ie phone them up with my monthly earnings 7 days before the end of the assesement period ( guy at Jobcentre told me to do this every month ). so the correct amount can be adjusted in order to pay that months UC payment.
I will have to phone them up to tell them I have done what they have asked for. I take it this is a genuine error and my universal credit payment will be " un suspended " and my usual payment willbe recieved on the set monthly date??
Thanks in advance.

Universal Credit are making this error on quite a few claims where the Claimant is reporting self employed earnings. It seems to be a system error somewhere.
It's worth asking them to raise a complaint (they do it over the phone and email it to a Manager). Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
Yes, I have no idea what the hell is going on.I have reported July's earnings in due time ( 7 days before, or 14 days after the assesement period ).
What a total farce this universal credit it, especially new claimants like myself who have just started up a self employed business.0
