Hi Guys
If I were simply just to use my UK Capital One Card to purchase an item (a ring) in a physical store in the USA next week, what charges could I face?
Using the MSE Travel Credit Cards Checker I saw:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/travel-credit-cards#checker
Exchange Load 2.75%
Spending Charge None
However, since I'm not actually withdrawing any cash, and am merely just paying for an item electronically, would I be subject to any charges?

You would be charged an extra 2.75% compared to a card that didn't load the exchange rate.0

IMO it's pretty clear: SPENDING: NON-STERLING TRANSACTION FEE: 2.75%.0 -
Err, it depends on your specific card.
My Capital One card has 0% forex loading on purchases only. It also still has 0.5% cashback (unlike a lot of other people), so if the Mastercard rate of the day is better than the interbank rate, I would get a very good effective rate indeed0
