Hacked e-mail spam tricked friend

I'm fuming yesterday someone hacked into my yahoo account and sent out a link from email address.
A friend thought it was from me and paid £200 which I assume they'll never see again.
The link was for Searching profits and after googling it certainly looks like a scam.
I'm so upset friend was so gullible and fell for this, they are now blaming me as well.
I don't know what to do.
I have changed email password, checked my norton security is running ok, reported to action fraud. Is there anything I can do to help get friends money back?

Nope, if they were stupid enough to respond to spam then it is down to them. I'd be more annoyed that a friend had responded, it's because of these morons that we all get inundated with the stuff.0

I'm surprised how naive they were but they believe it was genuine because it came from me. They assumed I had recommended it to them.0

To get it back you would need to track down the one that the money was paid to .
Are you sure your account was hacked . Could be your address was spoofed as is usual .0 -

not sure what spoofing is.
I assumed someone had been into my account to send out the email link to my friends.
It is searching profits who they sent to the money too.0 -
The email may not have come from your account. It's very easy to make it appear that it has.
email address spoofing
Your friends address book was probably hacked and your email address was grabbed from that.
Whatever happened, it's not your fault, so that's what I'd tell 'em if they're trying to blame you . . .0 -
Just tell your friend you are going to install some software to stop this happening again, but its going to cost £400, can they pay half?

I found five thousand bounced emails on my brothers computer .
Originated from a German ISP .A scammer sends out an email to multiple people with the origin as somebodynice @ isp.com. Emailsd like that are far more likely to be activated by the end user if they are security unconscious.0 -

I've had these from turds and the first thing you do is check with the person to see if they're really in trouble and have they had their passport and wallet stolen.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
