I've just purchased something from Ebay and paid by PayPal.
I've just had an email from support PayPal(service(at)paypal.intl.uk) asking me to sign in and update my details as my account seems to be missing some details at the same time as my confirmation of my purchase.
There is also a blue box which seems to link to somewhere.
The thing which makes me suspicious is that this email is addressed to my blueyonder email address not my gmail address.
So how does some spammer or con artist associate my gmail and blueyonder addresses.
Or is it just coincidence that I got the fake PayPal email just at the same time as I got my confirmation email:eek: ?
I use windows live mail to get my email so I receive emails for different email addresses at the same time.

It's just the usual Phishing kind of scam which just happened to coincide with you purchasing something. Obviously dont open it but if at all concerned log in correctly to your paypal and check the messages for any problems. I doubt they have linked the two emails."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Never trust 'from' e-mail address even if it looks genuine.I've just had an email from support PayPal(service(at)paypal.intl.uk)
Never click any links in any e-mails unless it's a link that doesn't require logging in or entering any details. There is also a blue box which seems to link to somewhere.0 -
Send it to spoof@paypal.com and Paypal will get back to you about it.0

The clue is in the email address, intl.uk is NOT Paypal.0

If you think your PayPal is not up to date go to PayPal.co.UK and sign in never use the links provided unless you are 100% certain it is a genuine email.
A few hints to spot a genuine over a fake. They will address you by name (first and last), they will never ask you to send them personal details or passwords. Also look for spelling mistakes.
If you do click a link look at the address bar chances are the page might look legit but the address will be completely different and they will just use it to collects people's usernames/passwords.0 -
Sometimes you will find that it is not from PayPal. If you look closely it may well be from PayPa1. With the digit 1 on the end instead of an L. I have had several of these over the past.
Like others have already said never click on any of their links. Plus you can also block them from sending you any emails again. Always just log in to your PayPal account and check to see if you have any messages from them as they will always show up there.
