I made a large purchase on a new 'purchase' card for a holiday. The card offer is 0% for 15 months. This is my second card. I will be paying the minimum amount by DD to spread the cost, and will make sure if will get paid for before the offer ends. Also, planning to use this to buy other things too.

Once the offer ends, I change the DD to thd option 'pay in full'.

How would this affect credit history? I have another card from a long time which I always pay in full my DD.

The bank has said they can increase the credit limig after 6 months automatically depending on how well the account is managed. Out of curiosity what are the chances of an increase, when I pay the minimum amount during the 0% purchase period?

It's always suggested to pay slightly more than the minimum, even £10 more.

All my 0% cards have increased my credit limit after 6-12 months automatically despite only paying the minimum or £1 over

Except BOS which is reducing my limit every 3 months to just above my remaining balance. I have been told that this is happening to many people with BOS though

I do have a BOS card (Halifax to be precise) with a limit higher than my first one. I hope they don't lower mine. :o How come they are lowering the limit?
