Tablet advice

Hi,
I'm not very tech minded so I'm hoping you can help.
I'm looking for a tablet up to £150 from Tesco (I have clubcard vouchers). I've just bought a Hudl 2 but I'm really disappointed and looking to take it back. The battery life is terrible and it takes ages to charge. So, I was looking at either an Asus transformer pad, a Lenovo ideatab or possibly a Samsung galaxy tab 4.
Is anyone able to advise me on which one would be best for storage and battery life. It's to be used by my kids so really just for games and long car journeys!
Thank you in advance.

First charge may take ages .
Suggest you spend more if you want a better battery life or buy a dvd player .0 -
The second charge took over 4 hours and was still only at 50%. I think I'm going to take it back and get a refund but was just wondering which of the 3 other tablets I can get would be the best0

Personally given the choice at the price point for me the Hudl 2 wins every time .0 -

Are you using the supplied charger? (A phone charger won't provide the required current).0 -
Turn off stuff you are not using - Bluetooth - GPS (location) - don't have the screen at max brightness - for starters.0
