Will A UK XBOX 360 WORK IN SPAIN?

Options
I'm off to Spain next week and my son has an xbox 360 which he no longer uses as he now has an xbox one. I was thinking of taking the 360 to Spain an leaving it in my parents villa, but before I lug it over there does anyone know if it will work? I remember when I was a kid I took my playstation over it worked but there was no sound.

Just look on the power supply and check what voltage it requires. Some of them are dual or infinite voltage and it will say something like 110/240 or 110-240. The other consideration is the plug but I guess you are used to using converters.
  • I don't think the voltage is an issue & I will have a travel plug. The issue with the playstation was that when connected to a Spanish Tv there was only picture not sound and at the time about 20 years ago lots of expat's in Spain told me this was normal. I am just wondering 20 years later and technology having moved on whether this would still be the case?

if the tv has a hdmi connector, use that between 360 and tv, should have no problems...
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • yes 20 yrs ago , in the days you took your playstation over , it would have probably have been connected by the Ariel socket , or possibly a scart lead , times have moved on , and HDMI has become the norm, using HDMI "should" allow both picture and sound .

but there again , I am not Spanish , nor do I use games consuls
  • Yes the Tv does have HDMI so going on what has been said I will take the 360 to Spain.
  • should work , but make sure you configure "grand theft auto" to left hand drive , or you will upset the locals
