Are my electric bills too high?

I think that is high. I pay £30 electric and £60 gas but get in credit during the summer. We are a family of 4 and i am a stay at home mum so there is almost always someone in. Washer, cooker etc is pretty much non stop.
I would have a look at Uswitch or similar. Make sure you go through quidco also for cashback.
Hope this helps

I have a home office with 3 computers and 3 flat screen monitors permanently on. Any idea of what this might add to the cost?0

Why don't you check how many kWh you are using per day/week etc. What you are paying is not necessarily what you are using dpending on your payment method. Comparing cost is the wrong way, as it varies from region to region. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Sounds high, but I don't know your circumstances.0

How often do you have all these computers on? Do you leave them on stand by etc have you got energy saving light bulbs? Your Gas bill does seem quite high. What cooker do you have etc All helps us to work out why!
sorry just noticed you have the PC's on all the time, is that necessary?0 -
As expresso states, there is not much point in using your monthly DD payment when comparing gas/electricity consumption.(it is kWh that are important)
Those totals could be too much, or too little, and you will be building up a credit or debit balance.
Average consumption in UK is 20,500kWh for gas and 3,300kWh for electric.
On the face of it(should your payments equate to consumption) your gas is probably on the high side of average, and your electricity double the average.0
