Astra twintop pedal test code

Hi all,
Read a few threads about this. So I did the pedal test after my car 1.8 petrol twintop (57 plate) gave a yellow Engine management indicator (is that the ones that looks like a circuit board...im such a noob with cars). From what I could make out the code was? 0136. I have two questions, obviously what does this code mean. And secondly does anyone know a reasonable garage
In the teesside area. So hard to find as good honest garage these days. All advice really and gratefully accepted.

Googling the code suggests an o2 sensor, specifically o2 sensor 2 bank 1, not sure if its the one before or after the cat - have a google around to check.

Not expensive and not hard to fit (i think)

Get a genuine Bosch one seems to be the general advice.
  • Let's hope so, once I find a good garage :j

Any mechanic could fit one. In fact its probably a DIY job if you're feeling inclined.

Why is it always assumed that when a sensor brings up a fault code it is the sensor that is faulty? Don't the sensors ever do their job & actually sense something wrong?
