New Boiler Help Needed
Options
Hi,
I'm at my wits end with searching the internet and receiving the same results, i am hoping somebody can tell me something different.
I am currently in the last year of an IVA and all the heating, both boiler and gas fire have been condemned as unsafe to use.
I'm an homeowner, have no children, live alone and earn just £100 per year too much to claim working tax credit so all the grants i have found are not available to me.
I have looked into the loan option with the likes of help-link and they have refused point blank because of my IVA (I have had permission from my IP to look at this route)..Can anyone please advise any other option i may not have thought of otherwise im gonna have very cold winters for the next few years
Thanks in advance

You might get an emergency loan from your Local Authority.
Otherwise, a visit to your local Citizens Advice might help.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Hi
We have just gone through he same problem , spent ages looking for an answer...even tried everlasting boilers but they do a land registry search even though they say they don't credit check......
we recently applied to charis grants ....its a lot of filling in a form and submitting payslips and evidence but we just got a cheque this morning for the full amount we need for a new boiler...saved us as we had no idea how we would get through the next 2 years we have left on our IVA.....they say once the forms have been submitted and evidence received it can take up to 6 weeks for a decision ..in total its taken 3 for us.
By the way tried attaching a link but the forum rules wont allow...I've sent you a message with it on.0
