At last! Finally got it out with a bradawl ( I'm sure you shouldn't need to do that!) and once it was out I loosened the tension screw on the case and the bobbin is now dropping in and out easily. I'd tried loosening the screw before when the bobbin was in the case but it didn't work then. Thanks for the advice, the video looks really useful.0

Hello, I've also bought one of these and was struggling to get the bobbin case out but having read through this thread and watched the video, i've persevered and it's done- using a bit of force and my nails! Thank you to all!0
