Credit Card dets - Moving abroad

The answer is that it is unlikely that you will be pursued through any legal avenues if you simply cannot afford to repay. It's even more unlikely if there are a number of debts for small amounts (say under GBP2500).
Equifax/Experian will not link your credit in the new country, and they are not as ubiquitous as all that anyway.
Just because you cannot afford to pay will not stop any creditor from chasing you and therefore adding additional costs to your debt !
Can you support your claim thet the CRA's will not link him as all credit applications primarily rely on DOB and previous addresses. If he/she wants further credit whilst abroad it wouldn't be possible unless you'd vindicate fraud by means of false information.
To the OP, Why move abroad and have it constantly in the back of your mind that one day they might just catch up with you. Avoiding your responsibility to pay is just running away from the problem and not advisable.0 -
WOW, alot of righteous people on this forum, and not many good readers.
I never once said in my original post that I was going to just stop paying off my debts, I was asking for information on what my position is regarding them.
Sorry I asked, I'll try not to offend you all anymore0 -
If I posted a thread asking about the risks of bank robbing and my legal position, I'd expect a few people to assume I was thinking about robbing a bank.
My bad. Sorry.0 -
