Changing default printer for Firefox/Thunderbird

Just installed a networked printer for my parents. It's an HP Laserjet with Jetdirect card, connected to a netgear router. It's working fine. Only thing is that on one of the PCs, while I have changed it to the default printer, in Firefox and Thunderbird it insists on defaulting to the Epson injet that is directly connected to one of the PCs.

Any solutions?

Wow, that's weird... dunno if it's just a Firefox thing though.

Gave it a try - my default is locally-connected, so used Control Panel to make the network one default, went into File/Print... and it showed the net printer. Then went back in and changed the default back to local - Firefox still showing network one... Re-booted, and it's still on network...

What seemed to change it was actually printing something - File/Print.. select local printer, then Ok and it went back to local (dunno if it'll still be on that tomorrow - may be sending the boys round...lol).

Pretty sure it doesn't "remember" between Firefox sessions - I do print local and network, and sure it normally has the local (default) when I go into Print the first time.

I did send docs to print form Thunderbird, but still wanted to default to local printer after that. If I print from any MSOffice package or IE, it does the right thing. Just not from FF or TB.
