Think I've decided on the bathroom need to sort the shower next.
Advice please as to best option - both from plumbworld
Architekt Avus aluminium thermostatic shower ( fixed shower head, 3 body jets and hand held) http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/189-17193
Mira discovery thermostatic BIV chrome

The first one looks like it will be the easiest to fit as pipework hidden behind the tower. What do you lovely plumbing experts reckon - is there a better one at that price?
Plus we will need to put a pump in for the tower one - does the Mira one need a pump too (we would have to fit a double one to 'do' the other shower too.
Many many thanks in advance:o

What type of hot water system do you have ? Ie a combi boiler or is it tank fed a cylinder in an airing cupboard etc0
-
tank fed with cylinder in airing cupboars - at the moment the showers in both the ensuite and the main bathroom are pretty pathetic so we will need a pump for the main one whatever
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!0 -
The only thing I would say if you are installing a pump is that you will need to install a cold water tank with a minimum of a 40 gallon capacity to feed the shower valve and the hot water tank0

Doesn't the cold just come from the mains (good job I won't be installing anything!!!) and will the mira shower need a pump?

what about this shower0

mmm - for £1 I could knock down the bathroom wall to fit it in!!

You can't pump mains water so you have to store it in a tank then feed the hot and the cold so the pressure of hot and cold are almost equal, a lot of mixer showers available now will work on a pressure difference of upto about 10/1 although you do need to check that any shower you intend to fit will do this.0

The plumber is coming tomorrow so will check with him if the tank is big enough - Thanks for the replies - still wondering about the best shower though?
