Car craft PPI claim

I took out a car finance deal through Car Craft at the end of 2007 or early 2008, which I paid off in 2010. I'm pretty sure I had PPI on it which I specifically declined. However I have no paperwork for the account and don't know which finance company I had the loan through. It doesn't show up on my credit file anymore either.

My question is: As carcarft are no longer trading, Would I still have a case to claim with the fscs? If so do I need more information than I have? How to they check PPI claims if carcraft no longer trade?

You put your complaint to the FSCS.

They build records from the lender and yourself and make a judgement call based on the available facts.

As it stands, you could do with firming up your complaint as you say you declined it but then say you are pretty sure you had it. Yet have no evidence to back it up. So, why do you think you had it. The FSCS wont consider unprovable verbal allegations. It will be more a case of looking at eligibility.

I bought a car from car craft 1 year ago. I had a drive happy plan which I couldn't not use as the company went into administration. I have all the documents and proof can you help . Thanx

Do a search of the forum for this, there are lots of people in your poition, I think some may have had some success.
