HMRC Paying-in slip

in Cutting tax
Having received a P800 in respect of underpaid tax for the tax year 14/15 I have decided I would prefer to make the underpayment direct (as a non tax payer this tax year I am receiving gross interest on my savings and dont want to become a tax payer again this year - by pension is below my personal allowance)
The HMRC website states I need to send the amount of the underpayment (I believe their calculations to be correct) by cheques along with a paying-in slip.
Despite searching their website I cannot find a paying in slip. And phone calls are currently 40 minutes wait according to a recorded message on the enquiry tel number given on the website.
Has anyone got a link to a paying in slip I can print off and send with my cheque please?
I want to send it off asap before they issue me with a new tax code and begin deducting tax from my meagre pension and mess up my gross interest declarations as they took ages to get in place for my range of savings pots.
Grateful Thanks

Ahhh Thanks for the link. My mistake was to search for "paying-in slip" as that was the term used on the pages relating to p800.:rotfl:J:A Goddess :A0

I wouldn’t do that if I were you. That is a Self Assessment payslip and you are not in Self Assessment.
If you did use that payslip you could be lucky but it seems more likely that your payment will disappear into a holding account.
Either leave it until HMRC get around to asking you for the money or phone them and ask for a payslip.
See “Making a voluntary direct payment” here.

As previously advised it is highly likely to go into a holding account as they won't know it is for a PAYE payment but there won't be an SA record to post it to.
When I used to work at HMRC PAYE and SA were (and still are) dealt with differently and so you'll need to call them when the money has gone from your bank with details of the cheque to get someone to trace the payment through SA. This will then need to be manually reallocated to the PAYE record by the back office.0
