Ebay Problem, What's The Next Step?

I purchased an item 2 weeks ago and paid straight away with paypal. I have not received or had a response to an email asking if everything was okay (3 days ago)
It was only £2.84 total.
The seller has over 1000 feedback (98.5%)
I was browsing ebay moments ago when I noticed the same item by the same seller at £3 plus £1.50 postage. He/she has relisted 3 hours ago so I know they are about.
What is my next step? £2.84 is not alot but the principal of it as well is important.
Thanks

Log into your "My Ebay" and on the item in question...to the right there should be a dropdown box(where it says "leave feedback" or "view payment details etc"....CLICK "item not received" as you paid by Paypal this will whizz you into your Paypal account and you'll fill in a complaint and then Paypal will take over and contact seller. I had to do this myself a couple of weeks ago and it is still in "review" so don't expect a speedy service...but you must act fast as you only have 3 weeks from purchase date to file a complaint against the seller. Good luck.0

Thanks, will do that if I don't hear anything by bedtime tonight

Don't you need to wait for at least 7 days? As you say it has only been 3 days.. annoying as it is to talk with a brick wall, I'd have a wee bit more patience.0

2 weeks since I won the item (27 April) which I paid for straight away, 3 days since i contacted and asked If everything was Okay their end0

Must warn you but the process is slow and it takes about three weeks for Payapl to get to the chargeback stage. Same think happend to me for a whole £ 3.24 but by the time Paypal autorised the chargeback the seller had cleared their payapl account ( if their are no funds no money back) .As the process is so lenghty it gives the seller ample opportunity to clear their account of funds. So I wont be holding my breath. Definately start the chargeback but also consider leaving negative feedback as I have found that this promotes a quicker response sometimes from the seller, and also warns others of what the seller is like. How do you know thay are not going to do the same with the next buyer ? If you both mutyaully agree they can get the feedback removed if they rectify the situation.0

The paypal chargeback can be slow but as soon as you start the process the sellers account is blocked so if they are still selling you have first call on their outstanding funds.
I would not consider leaving neg feedback yet, it is way too early. The mutual removal thing is far too complicated and is not guaranteed to work. As a seller I would also consider the transaction closed as soon as I received negative feedback.
To start the chargeback log into your paypal account and click on the tab at the top that says 'resolution centre' and work on from there.
Oh, and as for the feedback, 98.5% is not particularly good, that's an awful lot of negs on a thousand feedback.
Good luck.

Sorry I was not suggesting leaving negative feedback this now but if the seller does not respond to Paypals emails. They have about a week to respond and provide despatch details. The seller could have genuinely sent it and it has gone missing, in which case thet would respond. Any good seller will respond ASAP to a chargeback. If they dont respond by the end of the week , I would not really trust them myself. It is at this stage that I would consider leaving a neg. I am also considering the other buyers as it is only through honest feedback that you realise who is a good seller/ buyer. Plus I have personally had sellers not respond to the chargeback but respond to the neg, and honest, factual feedback.0

Thnaks for the advice. I will wait until shortly before hitting the sack then start my chargeback stage if I have not heard anything, if not, then after tomorrow's post, just incase0

Heard nothing, nothing from them in the post......Starting chargeback0

The seller has now left me positive feedback and said the item is being posted today.
How do I stop the chargeback?
Thanks0
